As part of our valued added service for assessors, we have partnered with Kaizen Energy Ltd to provide a number of CPD courses. This is the first of the 3 independent sessions we are running in August, September & October 2026.
If your assessment firm subscribes to the ACE03 or above and you are an employed assessor for the subscribing assessment firm, this CPD is included within the subscription fee paid by your assessment firm. If you are currently on a Pay-As-You-Go (ACE01), ACE Search User contract, or access ACE Wizard as a sub-contracted for an Assessment Firm but do not subscribe to use ACE Wizard independently, there is a fee of £30 payable in advance per CPD course.

- An explanation on why the maximum speed of an AC motor varies and what effect this has on performance
- To change the speed of an AC motor an additional device is required types of motor speed control devices

- The effect of bell mouth (socket) on performance
Chiller/ DAC/ACC
- Refrigeration systems have different types of fan speed control which control head pressure or temperature and drastically effect efficiency.
- Practical explanation of the different methods

Lawrence Leask delivers projects that improve the efficiency of refrigeration systems, process chillers, air handling units, pumps, and fans. From site surveys, through detailed forensic examination of service sheets, he has a history of identifying opportunities to reduce energy and optimise efficiency.
